The database for the application will be housed on Gelnius servers.
Interfaced with a browser, Gelnius supports Microsoft, Chrome, Safari and Firefox in the most current version, along with the previous 2 versions. The application does not depend on the Microsoft Office Suite, however, it allows forms to be saved in Excel or Word formats. If the Microsoft Office Suite is unavailable, there are .txt versions or text based .csv files allowable. The Gelnius platform is accessible on mobile devices but, we utilize the mobile device browser rather than writing a native application for the different mobile operating systems. Gelnius utilizes MVC as the development architecture with DevExpress as our development engine. DevExpress optimizes screen deployment based on the device utilizing the application and configures the browser size in accordance.

Flat file upload:
Standardized templates prompt users to complete the required fields in a compatible format. TMS Basic templates include, but are not limited to basic shipment details such as:

  • Shipper/Consignee address
  • Contact details
  • Dates
  • Billing terms
  • Incoterms
  • Reference fields
  • Parts details: Dims, weight, description, classification, stackable, outer/inner pack types

API Integration
Utilizing the next generation of APIs, Gelnius provides realtime data integration and increased status logs – allowing data to be transmitted from one system to another in nanoseconds. Our software platform works with your data gathered from multiple systems to ensure that all your transactions are made with the most current information.

Administrators have the ability to add in their preferred carriers. Carriers have the ability to be added or removed at any time and changes are activated based on carriers API protocols. Gelnius TMS Basic includes five carriers – your chosen four and SEKO Logistics. In 2018, customers will have the ability to add additional carriers through the Gelnius Marketplace.

Integrated carriers utilize web service APIs to connect with the Gelnius TMS. The integration allows Gelnius to pull in rates, book shipments, carrier label creation and populate tracking details. These carriers will also be available for rate shop. Spot quoting was designed to allow
all carriers, regardless of integration level, to participate in shipment tender opportunities. This tool is email based and allows carrier emails to be captured upon carrier creation within the self-service administration module.
